1. Prepare yourself
Send out emails or drop by neighbors’ houses to ask them to join you. You’ll have fun decorating a flyer to pass out as a reminder.
2. Develop a song list
Know in advance which classics you’ll wish to sing – it might also be worth coordinating a practice session. Many of us grow up singing different versions of even the most popular holiday songs, so don’t forget to print copies of lyrics or supply a link to download to phones to keep everyone consistent.
3. Time it right
Select a weeknight or even a Sunday afternoon for your outing to raise the probability of neighbors being home. Plan to go after dinner, however before bedtime, generally between 6-8 p.m.
4. Light the way
Bring flashlights, LED candles, or perhaps a candle app to keep the gang together and help you read music. Matching glow sticks might also be fun!
5. Don’t forget to jingle
Bells, triangles, or perhaps a set of keys help your song sound more dynamic. It’s an excellent way if anyone is too bashful to sing in public to take part.

Pack up holiday cookies to eat, share and deliver to your neighbors along the way.
