Homemade Furniture
Homemade furniture?!?! I know it seem a little out there, but just give it a chance. It is no secret that I am a HUGE fan of the DIY craze. There are just certain things I can’t wrap my mind around paying for. Especially when those certain things cost a small fortune! In any walk of life, you can always afford to save some money. I think DIY is a great opportunity to save the dollars, and gain some knowledge, skills, and pride.
For me a need is what gets my DIY brain juices flowing, and that is normally after I have priced out a few things. Then the research bug hits and I start finding alternative routes and inspirations to find a way to make what I need. Recently, my bed has decided to finally give-out. It had a good run, but now there is a nice big dip in the middle of my bed. (look for a blog about my homemade bed coming soon!) So, my homemade furniture research began and I decided to share it with you the fine people of the interweb!
As it turns out there is so much going on in the world of homemade furniture! A lot of repurposing and crafting! Here are some things that I found around the internet that I thought might be worth sharing!
Here is a beautiful custom homemade bed that is just breathtaking. You won’t find this at your home furniture store!
I thought this was just so inventive!! It looks sleek and comfy and just plain cool! It’s absolutely insane what you can repurpose things into!!
This piece is so chic and fancy! It is absolutely unique and crafty. I would love to have been the designer on this one, major props to this designer!
This would look great in a bar area, man-cave, or bachelor pad. Once you find the materials this piece would be so easy to recreate!
Making your own furniture might seem crazy and sound super difficult, but the results are definitely worth the work! My advice to you is to figure out what you need and get to researching what/how you can do it yourself! You just might surprise yourself!
