Nick grew up in Massachusetts and Cindy is from West Palm Beach Florida. So having a garage to park your car in is something that Nick knew nothing about. Also in Chicopee all homes had basements where all your extra stuff went.

Garage Makeover at the Davis’s Home

Since 2005 when we got into Real Estate here in Tampa Florida, we have met so many people who have a garage, but they have to park their car in the driveway, because the garage has all their extra stuff in it.

We were fortunate that when we purchased our home in 1998 it had what they called an over-sized garage. Which means it is like a 2 and half car garage. Nick likes to joke and say you could park a Miata over there, but getting out would be virtually impossible.

Most of you know Cindy & I both retired from the US Army, Nick in 2005 and Cindy in 2010. So being organized is kind of just part of now. So about two weeks ago, one of our special signs for a neighborhood, that was leaning up against the wall fell over and fortunately neither of our cars was in the garage. (It was during the day) So Nick decided it was time to figure something out with those signs.

Funniest thing was on our Pinterest account a day or 2 later, there was a board we follow and someone posted how they had organized their signs. So next thing Nick was at Home Depot. So he wound up purchasing SafeRacks SafeTrax Garage Storage System.

So initially Nick did the one side of the garage where the signs had been.

So naturally after completing this project he had to continue. But before installing, some preparation had to be done. Homes here in Florida have block on the first floor and normally the garage too. So we had to remove some of the hooks we had up and patch the holes. Then looking at the walls, you know that next was painting.

So Nick went on Amazon and ordered the remaining kits to complete the complete the garage makeover. The downside was that they were not eligable for Prime, so they took about 9 days to come from California. In the interim Nick stopped off at Home depot and found a new tool bench that he decided to replace what he had all his tools and stuff in.

So after waiting for the order to finally come, Nick left work early to get started. Now we must let you know this. There a a 3 pack special, that came with the rack, and 5 different hooks, and if you ordered a 3 pack they were discounted, so naturally he ordered 3 of the 3 packs, but when the order came, it seemed like we were missing some parts, well they only sent us 1 pack of 3, so we are still waiting for the remaining 2 packs of 3 to come in.
