What does cozy mean to you?
To me, it’s more than warm blankets and candlelight. Cozy is comfort, identity, and peace—it’s the feeling of being home, even when home keeps changing.
What Cozy Means to Me
As a military family, Nick and I moved over 25 times—Germany (twice), Georgia (twice), Korea, South Carolina, and eventually Florida, where we now call home. The Army taught us a powerful truth: home is where the Army sends you. So, we made it home—every time.
This Sunday, I found myself lost in the book Cozy White Cottage by Liz Marie Galvan. One quote really struck me:
“Home was knowing myself and what was cozy to me so I could bring it with me anywhere life would take me.”
That truth mirrors my own journey. Over the years, I’ve collected pieces from each place we’ve lived—decor, traditions, even recipes. Each item carries memories and meaning, turning our house into a space uniquely ours. A space that’s truly cozy.
For years, Nick and I dreamed of returning home to Florida. Publications like Better Homes and Gardens kept that dream alive. Now, not only have we made that dream a reality, but we get to help others do the same.
Helping people find a place where they can build their own cozy—that’s not just our job. It’s our calling. We’re so grateful to guide people home—wherever that may be.
✨ Dream with your eyes wide open. It’s good to be home.
