Avendale is in Lutz, Florida and is convenient to both I-75 and I-275. It’s a quick drive to the University of South Florida as well as Busch Gardens and MOSI. It’s close to all the conveniences of the city, while maintaining a quieter pace and a feeling that you’re almost out in the country in this charming Old-Florida area.

Haley Veterans Hospital is just 10 minutes away. Grocery stores, houses of worship, public and private schools, and excellent restaurants with live music are just a quick drive from Avendale.

Outdoor recreational opportunities abound in the area, too. Lettuce Lake Park is just a few minutes away and offers beautiful hiking trails and boardwalks that meander over wetlands and through forests along the Hillsborough River. On the weekends, free guided nature tours are offered by the park rangers. The park features picnic grounds, an observation tower, fitness course, interpretive center, canoe rentals, and more.

Serious golfers will appreciate that there are more than 20 golf courses within a 10 mile radius, including the renowned Avila Golf & Country Club, which is only about 5 miles away. The 48 homes in Avendale all sit on large lots, ranging in size from one to six acres- and most are adjacent to conservation areas. There’s plenty of room in this neighborhood for the kids and pets to play! All of the homes in the community are custom built, and most of them have four or more bedrooms with two- or three-car garages.
