Allendale is a prestigious, conveniently located neighborhood in the area bordered by 9th St. North and 30th Avenue North in St. Petersburg, Florida. It’s close to downtown St. Petersburg and convenient to downtown Tampa. I-275 is close by, which makes commuting to the airport or just about anywhere in the Bay area a breeze.

Most of the homes in the neighborhood were built in the 1920’s and 1930’s. The historic neighborhood features lush landscaping, charming cobblestone streets, and stately trees that create a welcoming canopy as you drive through the community. An abundance of excellent restaurants are just a quick drive away, including great little restaurants like the Stone Soup Café. In the mood for some fresh seafood? The Casual Clam is just a few minutes away and offers great fish sandwiches and more.

If you like to golf, you’ll love living in this neighborhood! There are 15 golf courses just a short “drive” away, including the Renaissance Vinoy Golf Club and the Oyster Creek Golf Club. Outdoorsy types will appreciate the Weedon Island Preserve, a 3,190 acre nature preserve on Tampa Bay that’s a quick drive from the neighborhood. You can rent a canoe or kayak and make your way through the mangroves and seagrass flats on the South Paddling Trail throughout the preserve’s islands. You’ll be able to spot lots of birds such as roseate spoonbills and other wildlife. Restrooms and a fishing pier are also available.

Roberts Recreation Center is close and offers lots of activities for the whole family. The facility provides activities for children, teens, and adults. There are dance classes, social events, a gymnasium with basketball leagues, and more. Homes vary in style and size throughout the neighborhood. Recent prices range from the mid $400,000’s to around $1 million, and most homes in the area don’t currently require flood insurance.
